Difference Between Data And Information

Data

Data refers to any an all of the facts that are collected, stored, and processed by an information system. For any activity, normally three kinds of data need to be collected: facts about the event itself, resources affected by that event and the agents who participated in that event.

                        Information

Whilst data is the raw input, information is data that have been organized and processed to provide meaning.
