HOW TO BECOME AN ACCA MEMBER

To become an ACCA member, students will be required to:

  • successfully complete all the ACCA Qualification exams.
  • successfully complete the online Professional Ethics module.
  • show evidence of three years’ relevant practical experience (PER).

WHEN ARE YOU AN ACCA AFFILIATE

If you have completed your Exams and the Ethics module you are known as an ACCA Affiliate.

WHEN CAN YOU PLACE THE ACCA AFTER YOUR NAME

Once you have completed all three elements, you can apply to ACCA for full membership and have ‘ACCA’ after your name.

EXPLAIN WHAT IS ONLINE PROFESSIONAL ETHICS MODULE

Students are given access to the Professional Ethics Module by ACCA as soon as they become eligible to take Paper P1 and may complete the module at their convenience. Completion of the module is a condition of membership for those who registered on or after 1 January 2007. ACCA strongly advises anyone who registered as a student before 1 January 2007 to also complete this module.

 

WHAT ARE ACCA SUBJECTS FOR THE INTERNATIONALSTREAM VARIANTS AND UK VARIANT

International stream variants are taught on: Papers F3, F7, F8, P2 & P7.

UK variants are taught for Papers F6, F8, P6 & P7. F4 is the English Law variant.

 SIMPLE SNAPSHOT OF ACCA SYLLABUS BREAK-DOWN:

The ACCA syllabus consists of 16 papers and is divided into four parts:

Knowledge Module (3 papers)

Skills Module (6 papers)

Essentials Module (3 papers)

Options Module (2 out of 4 papers)

Students must sit 14 papers.

The exam duration is two hours for the Knowledge Module and three hours for each paper in the other modules.

Exemptions from ACCA

Relevant graduates may be awarded some exemptions from Fundamentals Level papers.

An exemption fee must be paid for each paper awarded. Contact ACCA for further information.
